  • Your ticket numbers will be sent to your email address once you have paid
  • Results and winners will be announced on this site and all our social media sites
  • Winners will be contacted via email directly
Are your prizes authentic?

Yes everything is real and authentic. All of our prizes are either bought from repectable coin and antiquity dealers, or if they have been acquired from detectorists, we ensure that they have been registrered and described on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database.

Our prizes are often of museum quality, but there is no legal requirement for them to be in a museum if they have been purchased through the legitimate UK coin and antiquities market. Where items originate from metal detecting finds, we ensure that anything classified as ‘treasure’ will already have gone through the official Treasure process and been returned to the finder if not acquired by a museum. In such cases, the relevant authorities have determined that museum purchase was not necessary.

Prize-winners of a Lone Wolf Detecting Day will be given recommendations for local hotels or bed and breakfasts for their stay if they wish to arrive on the previous day. We will meet them at 8am and take them directly to the detecting fields. Full instruction will be provided, and if required, we can supply all necessary equipment, including detectors, spades, pin-pointers, and finds pouches. Prize-winners must arrive suitably dressed for outdoor conditions (walking boots or wellies, and wet weather clothing, as the ground can be muddy).

Please note that finds are not guaranteed. Any finds made may be kept by the prize-winner unless an individual item is valued at over £50, in which case the prize-winner must pay half the value to the landowner if they wish to keep it. All qualifying treasure finds are subject to the UK Treasure process, and Lone Wolf Detecting will assist with the necessary reporting. In addition, any non-treasure artefacts of archaeological or historical interest will be recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) to ensure proper documentation.

Lone Wolf will draw the prize on the closing date whether all the tickets have been sold or not. If a competition sells out before the closing date, we may make the draw early

All draws are done using the Google Random Number Generator and filmed live. Where possible, we will make the draw in front of a live audience at the monthly meeting of the Norwich Heritage Recovery Metal Detecting Club. We will post the video and announce the winner on our website and on all of our social media sites. We will also contact the winner directly via email

Lone Wolf will email you within 48 hours of the draw result being announced. Please ensure that you respond within seven days to claim your prize, as failure to do so will mean the prize will be entered into a new competition
